The iPad Shopping Experience – Retailers Take Note

Unless you’ve been living in a cave for the past few years, well actually, even if you have been living in a cave . . . cave houses are still popular in some parts of the world you know, they’ve got electricity, plumbing and everything . . . anyway, unless you’ve been living in a cave in the middle of a jungle with no experience of the outside world for the last few years, you’ll know that the iPad is a brilliant device designed to help you work, rest and play.

Shopping With Your iPad

But did you know that more than 40% of people who buy iPads also want to use them for shopping? Well, according to a recent survey anyway, so the more savvy of the savviest retailers are quickly thinking up ways and means of making the iPad an even better shopping experience for you . . . that’s good of them isn’t it, good for their profits too!  Other research has indicated that iPads are predominantly bought by the young, wealthy and educated members of society (of course, there are exceptions before you start thinking that it means you, even if you’re over 60, on social security benefits with no more qualifications than a certificate in practical woodwork). Anyway, these young, wealthy sorts are just the type of people to do a spot of impulse buying on the train on their way home from work or discovering some new products which they just cannot live without.

Some retailers are working all out to make the overall iPad shopping experience as good as it can be. They realize that if they really connect with their customers it will pay them dividends in the end. Many people have made the iPad a constant companion and can’t bear to be parted for even a minute. It makes the whole world of online shopping more intimate and mobile than ever before.
