How to Make Your iPad Your Perfect Traveling Companion

To be honest, even before you customize it with lots of special apps (which we’ll discuss in a minute) it’s already a far better choice of traveling companion than many don’t you think . . . it won’t need to use the bathroom the minute you’ve set off down the road . . . it won’t start whining for ice cream every five minutes . . . it won’t kick the back of your seat . . . it won’t sleep in and make you miss breakfast . . .  yes, these iPads certainly have a lot of good things going for them already, although, to be fair, the traveling companion in the photo won’t do any of those things either, but can it do any of these . . .

Traveling with Your iPad

iPads are much easier to travel with than laptops, for example, even if you could do with a little of the laptop functionality. There are a few things which you can do to make your iPad more “laptopesque” if you see what I mean. At the very least you’ll probably want to check your emails (how did we ever live without them) and transfer your holiday photos from your camera.  If you also want to do a spot of typing then you should think about buying a wireless keyboard or an ipad case with keyboard, just to make the experience a little easier.  There are plenty of apps to choose from if you want your iPad to have word processor properties too, although bear in mind that storage is pretty limited so some kind of cloud storage system for documents and so on is always a good idea.

Planning Your Trip with Your iPad

iPads come in really useful before you’ve even planned your trip, there are so many great apps which you can buy to help you find the best hotels (at the cheapest prices), book flights, trains, bus tickets, navigate your way around busy airports and point you in the direction of the best chicken wings in town. Wow, all of that from one iPad, it’s amazing.

So you see, the iPad really can be the perfect traveling companion. It will enable you to choose where you want to go, book your accommodation, help you to get there and also make the most of your time away. Now then, I don’t know about you, but that doesn’t sound like any other traveling companion I’ve ever had the (mis)fortune of traveling with.
